The months of September and October will be dedicated to Exam Preparation.

10 days of intensive training prior to the exam.  A total of 15 hours of practice.

The theory webinars are held on a rotating basis. We just completed the first round. We will be announcing the next days soon.

New Federal and State Exam Prep

These courses are for people that qualify to sit for the oral exam at State or Federal level. The contents are tailored accordingly. The dates have been selected according to expressed demand. Only a few seats available for each. Reserve your seat and pay later. You will receive an invoice and a deadline. If payment is not received by the deadline the seat will go to the next one on the waiting list. We anticipate a waiting list as the exam approaches and we have received many requests. Notice we have included two new courses to accommodate the demand but won’t be able to open more before the next exam dates.

To start training to become a court interpreter you should start with the once a week regular program, CITO 1.

Court Protocol Webinar

There is still time to register for the Court Protocol Webinar to be held this Saturday, July 22 at 1 p.m. ET

Coming up:

Ethics I – Code of Ethics will explore the Code of Ethics of Professional Interpreters, compare different codes and analyze their cannons in detail.

Ethics II – Applied Ethics will deal with the practical application of the code of ethics. We will analyze different practical situations and dilemmas that come up when practicing as a court interpreter, in the courtroom and the corridors.  We’ll talk about how to handle different situations. When to say NO, and How to say it.

The Ethics webinars will be offered on Sat. August 12 and August 19, for the first time. Each webinar is 1.5 hours.

Now you can sign up for our courses via Eventbrite by just clicking on the link to the course.  This is a convenient method for you to pay by credit card. There is a small fee associated with this service.

We will continue to accept PayPal, and as an option for those who don’t like to do payments online, we can invoice upon request and will accept checks.

You can reserve a seat in the 12-week  program by just paying $45 via Eventbrite. We will invoice for the balance. Your seat will be guaranteed as long as long as the balance is received 3 days prior to lesson 2.

Bio – Instructor

Victoria Dopazo is a Federal and State Certified Court Interpreter with 17 years of experience in Court Interpreting and over 20 years of experience in teaching languages. Victoria obtained an English as Foreign Language teaching degree in her native country, Argentina. In addition to teaching in Argentina, Victoria has taught in Australia, Singapore and the United States. She holds certification as a court interpreter from NAJIT and has owned and operated language schools in Argentina and the United States. As director of The Language Institute, she has taught and coordinated courses and has managed translation and interpretation projects.
